The Armidale School is looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic senior teacher to the position of Head of Mathematics.

The Head of the Department is considered to be the leader of the faculty. The primary focus of this role is to provide leadership that promotes excellence in teaching and learning facilitating professional growth in staff and enabling all students to achieve their personal best.

The Director of Development will have a collegial and consultative relationship with all stakeholders and possess exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, marketing, fundraising, communication, community building and inter and intra-personal skills.

Junior School Music Teacher

TAS is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated part-time music teacher to join our Junior School. This role requires a vibrant educator who has a commitment to nurturing the academic, social, creative and emotional development of all students. The teacher must be able to work as part of a team and have the ability to teach music at a Junior School level (Pre-Kindergarten – Year 5).

TAS is the only regionally based co-educational GPS school in NSW and prides itself on the high quality of academic, boarding, and co-curricular programs. We are an IB World School offering the IB Primary and Middle Years Programmes.

The ideal candidate:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and accreditation as required by NESA Teacher Accreditation
  • The ability to teach in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme would be an advantage
  • Experience in teaching across a number of Junior School levels would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of curriculum and assessment strategies with the ability to design and report on quality teaching and learning programs
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build strong relationships and engage with students, staff, parents, and the community

Full-Time Position

The Armidale School is a GPS boarding and day school located in Armidale, NSW. TAS is co-educational across all years and current enrolments stand at over 680 students, including over 230 boarders from Years 6-12.

A position exists for a suitably qualified person to provide full-time cleaning duties.

The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team involved in all facets of housekeeping duties and will provide a high standard of cleaning services to the School.

To be successful in the role, you will need to be available to work:

  • Monday –  Thursday 4.30 am to 1.00 pm
  • Friday 4.30am – 12.00 noon

Role Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning of various buildings (both internally and externally) as directed
  • Assist with the organisation of furniture, setting up and packing up for school functions
  • Assist with functions and support around the school and various other duties as required
  • Work with other staff members in the team to ensure that all work is carried out to satisfactory and acceptable standards.

Criteria:

  • Work autonomously with little supervision
  • Committed to safe work practices
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children number
  • Must be physically fit and able to meet the demands of the job and obtain a pre-employment medical
  • Must hold a driver’s licence

A GPS boarding and day school in northern NSW, The Armidale School (TAS) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Anglican minister and outstanding Christian educator for the position of School Chaplain. TAS prides itself on the high quality of its academic, boarding and co-curricular programs.

In collaboration with the Principal, the Chaplain is responsible for the spiritual life of the School, and of all its members, and must be able to be licensed by the Armidale Diocese.

The School Chaplain leads the Chaplaincy Team in delivering the School’s Christian ministry and spiritual life with a primary focus on the students. The Chaplain engages in Biblical, inspiring, engaging and relevant Christian ministry through Christian Development lessons, Chapel ministry and voluntary Christian groups for students and staff.   While the primary focus of the School is its students, the Chaplain is a spiritual leader for the broader TAS community including current students, staff and families and past staff and students.
